Bhutan is a landlocked mountainous country with diverse biodiversity and majority of the people living within this range are supported by agriculture and livestock. The interaction between human wildlife is intense and it is increasing day by day with increase human pressure on destruction of natural for socioeconomic development. The destruction of the wildlife habitat includes fragmentation by connection of motor able roads, expansion of the human settlements with increase in population. With the shrinkage of wildlife habitat and disturbance to their habitat by human, they tend to come to farmers periphery for easy food and thus creates conflict with human and on the other hand human are destroying the habitats of wildlife by heavy collection of timber and other non-wood forest produces and creates no safe home for wildlife and thus it creates conflict. The current area has all this attributes and has been target for human wildlife interaction outreach program with the principle to reduce human wildlife conflict and create harmonic co-existence.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
This conservation outreach initiative was conducted to people living in the buffer area of Jigme Khesar Strict Nature with focus on concepts of human wildlife interaction, conservation significant of wildlife and how to create better balance between human need and wildlife need through educational outreach program.
