SUMMARY:Webinar Conservation Conflict Transformation
DESCRIPTION:Are you working in a complex\, conflict-rich conservation world? If you’ve been curious to learn a bit about Conservation Conflict Transformation (CCT) but haven’t been able to join one of our 5 day capacity building workshops – or you have\, but you want a refresher – here’s your chance to learn and refresh early in the new year! \n\n\n\n\nIn this 2-hour interactive online session\, Co-founder and Executive Director\, Francine Madden of the Center for Conservation Peacebuilding (CPeace) will share an orientation to CCT. This session will provide an introduction for those new to CCT\, as well as a refresher to those who have participated in CPeace’s past programs. The session will introduce analytical approaches to understand the intensity and depth of social conflict at multiple scales and explore with the participants how these conflicts impact shared problem-solving around natural resource management\, as well as other social and environmental issues. During the session\, participants will learn how CCT differs from traditional approaches to community engagement and conflict resolution while exploring cases of how CCT transforms conflict so both people and wildlife thrive. Participants will be encouraged to ask questions and draw from their own experiences as they engage in the models and framework. \nWebinar information: \n\nTuesday\, January 12th at 1:00pm-3:00pm ET\n\nPlease complete this form to register. \nWe have limited space overall and a limited number of scholarships available. Please complete this form to apply.
