Doctorate degree in Wildlife Science (focusing mainly on the issue of human-sloth bear conflict). Can design research methods to assess nature and extent of Human-Wildlife Conflict. Develop field based experimental models to mitigate outcomes of various forms of human-wildlife conflict. Design and implement community awareness programmes Design training programmes for involved stakeholders. Highlight issues and recommendations for policy actions.

Studied human-sloth bear conflict in detail by radio-collaring sloth bears to understand circumstances leading to conflict.
Studies human-large carnivore conflicts in detail to understand nature and economics of loss.
Supervised a number of short term and detailed studies on human-wildlife conflict in and around protected areas.
Conceptualising, execution and monitoring of field based activities targeted at mitigation of human-wildlife conflicts.
