Honeyguide primarily supports initiatives on community lands, such as Wildlife Management Areas and critical migratory routes of northern Tanzania, such as Amboseli-Kilimanjaro (Enduimet WMA), and Tarangire-Manyara (Burunge, Randilen WMA and Manyara Ranch). Within the WMA’s, communities runs their economic activities (agriculture, settlement and other small businesses,)WMA involves the communities on how to reduce crops destruction by training scouts and field officers who will train village volunteers to prevent wildlife entering their farms using HEC toolkit. The toolkit contains Torch, Horn, firecracker and Roman candle. This used in sequential form so as elephant not get used of it. Honey guide trained 1200 village volunteers in Randilen villages.
