Fladry is composed of a non-electrified wire where plastic strips or tissues are fixed every fifty centimeters. Its principle is to create a visual and sound disturbance. When the Wolf approaches, he is frightened by the movements and the sound of the bands, but he can get used quickly and get closer and closer to finally getting under the wire. A turbo-fladry is a fladry coupled with an electric fence.

Sur la zone Alpes en France, ne parlez plus de fladries aux bergers… il vous jetteraient des pierres me dit-on sur un site de protection des troupeaux : Par mes expériences, cet équipement pourrait trouver des solutions : informer, éduquer, améliorer, se remettre en cause, adapter. J’ai enregistré le son des fladries et à l’écoute, je le rapproche d’une personne marchent sur des graviers roulés, voir un crépitement de feu de brindilles! Par contre, la fladry n’est pas une rubalise, son altération au UV transforme les zones de pose de cet équipement en une multitude de micro plastiques, bien visibles… Copier coller dans l’urgence peut être, mais derrière la fladry, il y a un savoir faire technique et des mises en place , fixation, fils etc… conséquentes.
