DESCRIPTION

Installation of a biological barrier (composed of urine and faeces from another pack of wolves than those identified on the territory) of 65 km on a territory where 3 packs of wolves live to protect a herd of 2,400 ewes impacted by predation, in Idaho in the United States.

Detail of the protocol: Creation of two lines of deposits separated by 100m with deposit of samples of 3.0mL and 6.0mL of urine spaced 500m or 750m apart and placed at 30.5cm in height or on the ground + excrement placed every km + "scratch" mark every 2km. Renewal of deposits every 10-14 days

Tested in 2010 and 2011 between June and July
