As I am dealing with the same issue in French Guyana, I would be very interesting to know more about the use of donkeys to be the most effective as possible. Here are some of my questions: - How old has to be the donkey when included in the herd to protect? I guess that when it is young and small, it can be a prey for jaguars and pumas. - How many donkeys do you advice to include in a herd depending on its size? - Can a donkey be adapted to protect any type of livestock (goat, cow, sheep...)? I am currently testing this device in French Guyana to limit attacks of Jaguar and Puma on livestock. So far, results are quite diverse: in some farms, attacks stopped, in others attacks stopped for a little while (weeks or months) and take over, and others were attacks did not stop at all. It may also depend on the context and the individual. I am also testing this measure in French Guyana to deter jaguars and pumas from livestock and from now on we have various results: it seems to be good from prevention or just after an attack but we had 2 cases where jaguars carried on to attack when they were already used to attack livestock before the implementation of foxlights.

AU sujet des clôtures électriques, il y a plusieurs fiches techniques disponibles sur la plate-forme, vous pouvez y accéder via les boites à outil et les filtres de recherche. Il semble que les clôtures doivent être spécifiques à l'espèce (nobre de fils, hauteur, voltage). Par exemple, pour les jaguars et les pumas, j'utilise des clôtures électrique solaire à 5 fils (20,40,60,80,130cm par rapport au sol) et minimum 5000V.
